OUR AIM
Our aim is to produce high quality assessments, to deliver interventions that lead to lasting change and to strengthen individuals and families. Most importantly we strive to make a positive impact to every child we encounter, ensuring that their safety, welfare and wellbeing remains our paramount concern.
Our Independent Social Workers (ISWs) are skilled at assessing parental behaviours, cultural norms, belief systems, and child-rearing practices prevalent within BME communities whilst exploring risks and thresholds for significant harm. Our staff are trained in the use of models such as Signs of Safety and Systemic Practice. In addition we have staff with extensive experience in private fostering, youth offending and working with unaccompanied and asylum seeking minors. Where required we have social workers of various nationalities who can complete international assessments.
We also understand that case involving children with disabilities are often complex and involve an extensive range of professionals, our ISWs have extensive experience in working with such cases including dealing with care package disputes, complex medical disputes, fabricated and induced illness, SEND tribunals and issues around liberty protection safeguards. We recognise the significant impact that parental separation can have on children and the family as a whole. Our service can support parents making Private Law applications for orders under Section 8 Children Act 1989, which include child arrangements orders determining who the child should live with and when and who a child should have contact with or spend time with. We can offer support and advice throughout private proceedings; in addition, we also offer a supervised contact service. Find out more here
